There was a bookstore in my location that closed about a year ago but still upon in a lot of other places in US. I LOVE that they have a website where you can buy new and used with 96cent shipping on the whole book order! I like that most new paperbacks are 6.74. Also buy at least 5 books a week from the used section.

the 6th one for free.|| Also, the Books section of the For Sale section of Craigslist can sometimes be a good place to buy books as well.

A great place to buy books is at flea markets. If you find big flea market dealers, they are great for specific books or authors, since they usually have them organized by series or author, perhaps both. And, they will cut you a better deal if you’re buying several. And, most sell them cheap to begin with. || If you’re from around Decatur, AL, you should come see my books. I set up at the Decatur-Moulton flea market. I sell paperbacks for $1 and $2. And, hardbacks for $3. When you buy 5, you get

If you really don’t mind reading online there is a wedsite called onread.com and it’s pretty much a library online. They have tons of books that you can read for free. It doesn’t really have EVERY book but it really does have alot.

One I’ve heard a lot about but haven’t tried myself is bookcloseouts

  6. ChapterStackss says:

Nope I hadn’t! I don’t remember your username specifically, but I’m sure you were one of the people who mentioned it and made me try it out :)

I mentioned half.com! Had you never heard about it before? In the end, I don’t know if I would recommend it… the quality is really hit or miss, and in my experience, the quality has been much better (and more reliable) for the most part when I’ve bought on Amazon. I don’t know – that’s just my opinion.

I absolutely LOVE going to Goodwill for books! The discounted books section of Half Price Books is pretty good, too. (: I also love using Craigslist and Ebay. I found someone on Craigslist selling over 60 YA/popular books for $80 in my area!

PLATOS CLOSET!!!! There is a small or large section depending on which store location you go too. Hardbacks are from 4-8 dollars and paperback are 3-6. It’s mostly contemporary YA but try it out! :)

  10. ViktoriaLove93 says:

What you said about the overall price is soooo true! Because ALOT of great books you can find on amazon for a penny, but then there is a 3.99 shipping. That still means you’re only paying $4 for that book when you could have spent $20!

  11. crazyC88 says:

Great list of place to shop for books. I personally like Books-A-Million over B&N because if you are a member, which cost $20 a year you can get 10% off. They also have a better bargain section in store and online. Also the teen section is bigger than the B&N I have been in.

  12. ChapterStackss says:

I can imagine T_T I always hear about how expensive things are there.

  13. SillyCelly411 says:

There’s this book store by my house called the half priced book store and all books are half priced or less. Some books are new and some are used but they have a good variety.

I really like Book Close Outs.com. They run deals all the time, they have a huge bargain section and you can get used or new books for super cheap. My last order I bought 11 books for 30$ and only 7$ for shipping. They also put a coupon in your box for the time you place you an order. I love them! They even have signed copys of books on their too <3.

  15. birdswhisper says:

I always buy my books from chapters, i am part of there rewards program and i get 10% off my books and I also get coupons for their promotions. its great. check out my channel i’m a new book tuber! and please subscribe.

Our library has quarterly book sales. My favorite places to buy books are goodwill and used book stores. Otherwise amazon!

  17. Athenav1 says:

    My fav is Thriftbooks.

  18. KCLovesSunshine says:

@NEHOMAS2 That should have said Allbooks4less.

  19. KCLovesSunshine says:

@NEHOMAS2 I’m from Australia too. Check out Allbooksforless and Fishpond too. :)

  20. KCLovesSunshine says:

I love online stores like Allbooks4less and Book Depository. I also buy from eBay or charity shops.

  21. onjupiterandmars says:

Similar to Goodwill, Value World also has a pretty good book section (or at least the ones near me do!). They also frequently put the books and magazines out for 50% off. (At full price they’re usually less than $2)

  22. Missrosebud29 says:

I love amazon. I always buy used copies, so I don’t get free shipping, but I’ve gotten books as cheap as 30 cents before! So even if I pay 3 bucks for shipping it’s much cheaper then most places! :) I’m gonna check out this book depository too now!

  23. NEHOMAS2 says:

That should say “insanely”, my apologies

  24. NEHOMAS2 says:

Also, $10/$11 for a book is *insanel* cheap as far as Australian prices for books go.
